That standing martingale is too SHORT! It's supposed to stop a horse raising his head too high so he can't see jumps the way they should . You are restricting his head and neck too much . Another 3 holes looser will allow him more movement and balance. .as well as keeping his head down without handicapping him. Your restricting his spine and bend . Spine goes from his poll to his tale !
